Janet Leigh was born on July 6, 1927, in Merced, California. Her real name was Jeanette Helen Morrison. Janet was an only child and had a happy childhood. She loved to sing and dance from a young age. Janet’s parents were very supportive of her dreams.
Janet’s journey to fame began when she was discovered by actress Norma Shearer. Norma saw a photo of Janet at a ski resort and thought she looked like a star. She showed the photo to a Hollywood talent agent, and soon Janet was on her way to becoming an actress.
Janet signed a contract with MGM, a big movie studio, when she was just 18 years old. Her first movie was “The Romance of Rosy Ridge” in 1947. People loved her on screen, and she quickly became popular.
Janet worked very hard and starred in many movies. Some of her early films were “Little Women” and “Act of Violence.” She became known for her beauty and talent. Janet had a sweet and kind personality, which made her even more beloved by fans.
