The whole audience was left in awe when they saw this grandma perform on the Grand Ole Opry stage.
To celebrate Mother’s day Josh Turner invites his grandma on the Grand Ole Opry stage to perform this classic song.
In Nashville, Tennessee the Grand Oly Opry is a country music festival and its stage is known by every country music fan or artist, even people call it “The Show that Made Country Music Famous,” so probably every who’s who of country music performed on this festival once in their career.
One of them is Josh Turner and exactly in February 2016, he played on the Grand Oly Opry stage. However, only one thing on that show was still remembered and talked about to this day.
on that night Josh suddenly stated to the audience saying: “My wife’s ninety-eight-year-old grandmother – her name is Lois Cunningham – and she’s going to come out and play on the Grand Ole Opry stage for the very first time,”
This 98-year-old grandma was a music teacher from 1969 to 1975 and her name is Lois.
She stepped on the stage and calmly sat on the piano, performing one of the best classic piano songs “How Great Thou Art” and it was breathtaking.
The melody and the piano were suitable for Lois and she put her magic touch on that Yamaha baby grand. Many believe that her performance reminded them of the legendary Mozart!
