Uncle Si Robertson of ‘Duck Dynasty’ needs your prayers – Fans concerned for his health
In June 2022, Si Robertson, a prominent figure from the reality television series Duck Dynasty, which aired on A&E from 2012 to 2017 and showcased the lives of the Robertson family who achieved success through their family business, Duck Commander, revealed that he would be undergoing a critical lung surgery due to life-threatening circumstances.
In the Duck Call Room podcast, Si discussed his health, revealing that it began to deteriorate after he contracted COVID-19 in 2021. He expressed concern over the severity of his condition, admitting that he feared for his survival.
Both he and his close associates indicated that Si made little effort to enhance his situation, as he declined to visit the hospital and subsequently rejected the prescribed medications.
Unfortunately, just when he believed he was on the mend, he encountered additional health complications, this time related to his lungs. In an episode of his podcast, Si explained that while he could inhale without difficulty, exhaling became problematic due to one of his lungs not operating correctly. Consequently, he was scheduled for surgery to implant a device designed to assist the underperforming lung in expelling the necessary volume of air.
Uncle Si shared on Facebook, “I underwent several tests in Houston. While there are still a few steps to complete, it appears that I have received approval for lung surgery. After that, I’ll have plenty more stories to share, with a promise that 95% of them will be true!”
As anticipated, his supporters gathered to offer prayers and express their hopes for a swift recovery. One fan commented, “Wishing you well for your surgery and a quick recovery. May God bless you during this time. I hope your family keeps us informed about your progress; you are truly a remarkable individual.”
Si confessed that most of his lung-related issues were due to the heavy smoking.
Finally, in September 2022, Uncle Si underwent the surgery and it turned out to be a successful one, to the delight of his family, frands, and his many fans.
In a post on Instagram, Si shared, “The doctor informed me that the surgery was a success. I’m eager to get back to it, Jack! I appreciate all the prayers and support; it truly means everything to us,” accompanied by a photo of him in the hospital bed.
Recently, fans expressed their worries regarding their favorite reality TV star following a post made on May 27, which commemorated Memorial Day and paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives and fought for the nation.

Many were intrigued by Uncle Si’s use of an oxygen mask and his noticeably slower speech. Naturally, fans were concerned and eager to learn about his health status and whether he had been facing any medical challenges.
One individual asked, “What are you doing with oxygen? Are you feeling alright, sir?” Another person chimed in, “Thank you for your service, sir. Is everything okay? I see you’re on oxygen.”

Several fans promptly reacted, with one commenting, “He has been using oxygen for a while; some days he relies on it more than others. He mentioned it’s due to smoking too many Winstons during his time in Vietnam.” Another fan contributed, “In episode 11 of the Duck Call Room from three years ago, he was using it; you can find it on YouTube.”
His followers also observed that Uncle Si altered his look by trimming the sides of his beard while maintaining a full goatee. Additionally, he has gotten a haircut.
