Now we celebrate dog Geo, who sensed something was wrong and saved a life
A dog is the most loyal and loving friend one can have in the world. 25-year-old Byron owes his life to his loyal companion, Geo, without whom he would not have survived to this day. Byron, from Gloucester, England, sank into a deep d-pression when his relationship ended. He turned to alc*hol to numb his pain and quiet his inner struggles.
After months of excessive drinking, Byron fashioned a noose and wrote a farewell note to his family. He made the choice to end everything. Still, there was someone in the house who didn’t want to just stand there and watch his best friend say farewell.
Byron Taylor, 25, felt like he had reached the lowest point in his life and couldn’t see a way to improve it. He got really dr*nk one day and decided to make a noose. After that, he went downstairs to write a goodbye letter to his family, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Upon returning upstairs, Byron noticed that his dog, Geo, was holding something in his mouth. While Byron was downstairs, Geo, a six-year-old Welsh bullmastiff, grabbed the noose. When Byron went to retrieve it, Geo wouldn’t let go.
Initially, Byron believed Geo was just being playful. However, he quickly understood that the dog was actually serious. Geo seemed to have a sense of what Byron was about to do, and he bared his teeth as if he would bite Byron if he attempted to take the rope from his mouth. When Geo released the rope, it was completely shredded.
Byron credits Geo for saving his life, stating that he wouldn’t be here today without Geo’s help. Byron mentioned that Geo seemed to have a sixth sense about what he was planning to do, suggesting that Geo had an inkling that something was about to happen.
Geo’s rapid response halted Byron’s plot and completely shifted his attitude. Byron put in the effort to battle his d-pression head-on, but a couple of years later, he was struck by another difficult situation. Geo’s prognosis was grim as he was diagnosed with an aggressive t-mor and given just a few days to live.
Byron launched an entertaining fundraiser online to cover Geo’s medical expenses, yet regrettably, the veterinarians were unable to rescue the dog.
Byron was determined to make sure Geo enjoyed every moment of his remaining days to the fullest. After losing his closest friend, he will forever be thankful to him for granting him the ultimate present… the gift of life!
