They starts Filming the Glaciers In West Greenland…What They Captured Is Simply Terrifying!
Adam LeWinter and Director Jeff Orlowski filmed a historic breakup at the Ilulissat Glacier in Western Greenland.
The calving event lasted for 75 minutes and the glacier retreated a full mile across a calving face three miles wide. The height of the ice is about 3,000 feet, 300-400 feet above the water, and the rest below water.
This rare footage has gone on record as the largest glacier calving event ever captured on film by the Guiness Book of World Records.
The filmmakers called the event “Magical, miraculous, horrible, scary thing.”
“I really appreciate that there are people out there filming these kinds of things. I would have gone my whole life without seeing something so spectacular and magnificent. Thank you” Source: Youtube/Exposure Labs
