(VIDEO) Colin Kaepernick shows big disrespect during Super Bowl National Anthem again

In one of the most highly anticipated national anthems in recent memory, Colin Kaepernick on Thursday night once again protested by not standing, and this time he was joined by a teammate and boos from fans. When the anthem was played before the San Francisco 49ers’ final preseason game, Kaepernick took one knee. It is difficult to see in the photo above, but to the left of Kaepernick (his right), safety Eric Reid joined him in silent protest. Standing to the right of Kaepernick in the photo above (his left) is Nate Boyer, a former Green Beret who is attempting to become an NFL long snapper. The two met before the game to discuss Kaepernick’s protests. Boyer stood for the anthem but seemingly stood close to Kaepernick in support. WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW:

Kaepernick sat in protest during the national anthem before a 49ers preseason game, saying he was “not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.” That was actually the third time Kaepernick had sat during the anthem, with the first two times coming when he was wearing street clothes and not participating in the game. Fans previously seemed not to notice Kaepernick’s silent protests. This time, however, he was booed by some of the Chargers fans in attendance.
