Cruise-lovers are finally getting to enjoy the highly anticipated new ship that is the Icon of the Seas.
The huge vessel took two and a half years to create, and officially joined the Royal Caribbean’s fleet in November 2023.And today (January 27) marks the big day the Icon of the Seas will set sail from the Port of Miami, where it’s been sat ready and waiting for its thousands of first-time passengers since earlier this month.
The cruise ship will embark on seven-night cruise to the Eastern Caribbean on the sold-out trip. While people have seen pictures of the exterior of the ship, there has been very few images of inside of the boat that aren’t just concept art – until now. Ahead of its departure today, excited passengers have taken to social media to share what their rooms look like.
One TikToker, Susie Flores (@cruisinsuise), took to the video sharing platform to reveal what the inside of a Surfside Family View Interior Stateroom looks like. This particular room boasts a window looking out onto Surfside – an area of the ship dedicated to young families. While the window faces onto a bustling area of the ship, Susie was confident that she couldn’t hear any goings on from outside.

Elsewhere in the room is a large bed and a sofa that looks like it converts into a bed. There’s also a desk/shelf attached to the wall with a large mirror above it, and a large TV hung on the wall as well. Bathroom wise, there was just a shower and no tub, in addition to a toilet and built-in sink by a wall-sized mirror. Fellow TikToker and cruise-lover Wendy (@ilove2cruise) showed off the Spacious Interior room to her followers – which didn’t look hugely dissimilar to Surfside Family View Interior Stateroom.
This room doesn’t not boast a window, however, and only has an arm chair an footrest rather than a sofa. Meanwhile, @marvelousmousetravel showed off the spectacular Ultimate Family Townhouse, which sleeps eight people.
@marvelousmousetravels Who want to split this 8 ways? 12 Grand each should do it! This cabin in unreal! Would you stay here? #iconoftheseas #icon #royalcaribbeancruise #royalcaribbean #miami #marvelousmousetravels #bookwithbrittany #travelagent ♬ Little Things – Tiqta
The ginormous two storey space has its own slide, a vast wrap-around balcony, a hot tub and a gaming table. If this sounds up your street, you’d best get saving as it’s said to cost around an eye-watering $75,000 a week. Yikes.
