Grandma-of-21 Stuns With Her Incredible Shape – People Can’t Believe She’s 91: ‘Mind-Blowing!’
An elderly woman has greatly defied the odds of old age. Thanks to her consistent workouts, her body is in good shape. The woman’s fitness routines for someone her age left many social media users “amazed.”
Edna Giordano became a social media sensation after a video of her exercising went viral online. Many people were stunned to learn that she was 91 years old.
Giordano has five children, 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Despite having so many loved ones, she lives alone and does her daily activities by herself, including driving and going to the gym almost every day.
It was because of Giordano’s 60-year-old daughter, Dalyce Radke, a certified personal trainer and an online fitness coach, that her video trended.
Radke has over 500,000 followers on Instagram. She posted the first clip of her mom’s fitness level in November 2023 and said it “amazed” her followers. “91 YEARS YOUNG and Powering through a Park Workout!” Radke captioned her post.

She believes not many people could have ever imagined that even someone well into their 70s would be so fit to this extent. Radke also admitted that she could not have thought so had she not grown up with her mother.
After seeing the video, many social media users commented on Radke’s post, which features her and her parent working out together and some solo clips of Giordano alone.
“Mind-blowing! She looks to be in fabulous shape!” wrote one follower. “OMG…can’t believe how fit she is…what an achievement…you have to be so proud of her!” said another.
Someone else penned, “Not a day over 50.” While another joked, “I need to see that birth certificate, lol.” One person quipped, “Wait, are you sure she isn’t in her 70s! What a […] role model, rockstar!!! She is amazing!”
“I’ve always had a busy lifestyle because, let’s face it, with that many children, you have to be busy. So, I never really thought about it, that’s just the way I live. My body feels better when I’m moving,” the family matriarch revealed in an interview.
From British Columbia, Canada, Giordano started focusing on fitness in her 60s after being forced to retire from her local hospital because of her age.

She has kept herself busy since then by gardening and currently helps with her apartment community’s landscaping. She also began going to the gym frequently and explained that although she gets cooped up inside when it is cold outside in the morning, she makes an effort:
“[…] I make myself do it and I make myself mark it on the calendar that I did it so I cannot [take] any shortcuts.”

Giordano shared that she mostly walks and does weightlifting and stretching while at the gym to keep her bones strong. However, she noted she does not compete with anyone but herself because she wants to do better for her.
Only a few gym goers know how old Giordano is, and she prefers to keep it that way because some have demanded to help her out, and she does not want that. The mother of five further stated:
“It’s funny to say that, but I’m so independent that I’m usually doing everything for myself, and I like to be independent.”

Radke is in awe of how well her mom is aging, which has made her realize that “age is just a number.” She gushed about how good she looked for her age and noted that she did not have plastic surgery.
According to Radke, Giordano previously expressed interest in getting her face done but never went through with it. “Her views on plastic surgery are ‘keep it natural looking,'” the fitness coach revealed in an Instagram post.
Radke shared her parent feels much younger than her years, adding Giordano’s definition of “life” is being able to live independently on her own terms.
This includes sleeping in her bed, driving herself to where she wants to go, and caring for herself. She also chooses to eat healthy even if she does not feel like it, including engaging her mind. Most importantly, Giordano feels blessed enough.
